About the Project
This project is a 20-minute documentary commemorating “And in One Lord Jesus Christ: 1700 Years Since the First Ecumenical Council”. The documentary delves into the historical significance of the First Ecumenical Council, which was convened in 325 AD by Emperor Constantine the Great in Nicaea. Its primary purpose was to address the escalating controversy of Arianism, a doctrine that denied Christ’s full divinity.
During this pivotal event, Church leaders from across the empire gathered to affirm the apostolic faith. They subsequently composed the foundational articles of the Nicene Creed, a declaration that continues to be recited by Christians today
